Best AEW PPV Entrances

One of the easiest ways to make a wrestler feel like a massive deal is with the perfect entrance on the night of a big PPV. AEW usually has two or three huge entrances with each PPV, and with Double or Nothing coming up in a couple weeks, I thought it would be a good time to rank the five best AEW PPV entrances.

NOTE: The title for each entry is a link that will take you to a video of the entrance. (If its been posted)

#5 Moxley & Kingston - Double Or Nothing 2021

This entrance just hits different. Two things that were new during the time of this entrance was Jon Moxley's new music, "Wild Thing", and the return of fans back to AEW Shows. Moxley and Kingston walking through the sold out Daily's Place crowd after countless months and hundreds of shows with little to no fans throughout the pandemic made it feel so special. You could tell the crowd was fired up, but even more than them, you can tell Moxley and Kingston had some extra energy finally being in front of a sold out crowd and getting to face one of the best tag teams in the world, the Young Bucks. This entrance truly felt like the culmination of all the Daily Place shows during the pandemic and is one that will not soon be forgotten.

#4 Kenny Omega - Double Or Nothing 2021

The belt collector officially arrived on this night. In the same show as Kingston and Moxley, Kenny Omega finally walks out draped in all the gold he had been winning during his MVP run in 2021. AAA, Impact, TNA, and AEW championships all appeared on Kenny Omega for the first time, an idea that fans had been wanting for a while leading up to this. Simply put, this made Omega look like a wrestling god, and his performance in the match that proceeded it proved that he is.

#3 CM Punk - Revolution 2021

If you want to know how big of a deal this entrance truly is type in CM Punk entrance on the YouTube search bar and you'll see that it suggests the Revolution Entrance before the iconic Money in The Bank Entrance. I think if you asked CM Punk, I think he would say that this would be one of, if not his favorite entrance in his career. It seemed like something he had long wanted to do and it fit perfectly within the story of him vs MJF. I wasn't even familiar with the music before watching it for the first time live and still I thought it was amazing.

Cody - Double Or Nothing 2019

This is probably the most iconic AEW entrance of all time. Not only did this set up Cody's character for the first while in AEW, it really set in motion a lot of what AEW would become following this first show. I know some people do not like the shots at WWE but this was so well thought out and fit so perfectly for Cody. It is hilarious now looking back on it and seeing how things have changed. I would've loved to be a fly on the wall when Triple H first saw this, my guess would be he loved it.

#1 Hangman Page - Full Gear 2021

In my mind this is the perfect entrance. Every tiny detail about it from the dark order running into the stadium to catch the match, to the footage of Hangman vs Jericho and Hangman & Omega vs Young Bucks being shown, to the graphics team saying "We're Proud of You", everything truly felt perfect. It helps that this was the culmination of a roughly 2 year story that rewarded AEW fans for getting invested in Hangman Page. The cinematic quality matched with the unique reception that you will only hear in wrestling made this an entrance that can go toe to toe with the best PPV entrances in wrestling history.
