AEW is going back on the road! Finally, they get to put the pedal to the metal once again and put on amazing Dynamite shows for sold out arenas across the world. With the announcement last Friday that they will have 4 special shows in July I thought it would be fun to book the matches I would love to see in the month of July.
Road Rager Wednesday July 7, Miami Florida
Main Event- (C) Young Bucks vs Lucha Bros
Hikaru Shida vs Diamante
Andrade vs Stu Grayson
Cody vs QT Marshall
Orange Cassidy vs Max Caster
The Young Bucks have not wrestled the Lucha bros in a while
and the Lucha bros haven’t tagged in a really long time it feels like. I would
love to see them have another match. Shida going up against Diamante who is
from the area would be a great match. I would love to see Andrade debut against
a Dark Order member perhaps setting up a Hangman feud at All Out. Cody vs QT
Marshall has already been announced. And I think its only fitting to have the
first dynamite back with fans start with two guys that will get huge pops from
the audience in Orange Cassidy and Max Casters.
Fyter Fest Night One Wednesday July 14, Cedar Park Texas
Main Event- Chris Jericho vs MJF
Dustin Rhodes vs Anthony Ogogo
Mark Henry vs Ryan Nemeth
Lance Archer vs Danny Limelight
Sammy Guevara vs Shawn Spears
Consider this the Jericho and Guevara card. I think this is a
great spot to have these matches finally in front of fans and in front of Guevaras
home state. Dustin Rhodes and Lance Archer are also from Texas so it’d be nice
to feature them in front of there crowds. I also think it’d be a nice surprise to
see Mark Henry, also in from Texas, come out and make a surprise debut and
squash Ryan Nemeth to the delight of the fans in Cedar Park
Fyter Fest Night Two Wednesday July 21, Garland Texas
Main Event- (C) Kenny Omega vs Orange Cassidy
(C) Britt Baker vs Nyla Rose
(C) Miro vs Matt Sydal
Thunder Rosa vs Tay Conti
Darby Allin vs Ethan Page
Now I know this card is a little stacked, but I think these
matches will happen at some point in these four weeks so why not put them all
on one card. Kenny Omega and Orange Cassidy are on a collision course for a one-on-one
match that is sure to be a classic. Britt Baker vs Nyla Rose will happen during
on of these events. Miro vs Matt Sydal and Thunder Rosa vs Tay Conti are nice
matches to have while the main talent, Miro and Rosa, are in between major feuds.
And Darby Allin vs Ethan Page has to happen before there done feuding in my opinion.
Fight For The Fallen Wednesday July 28, Charlotte North Carolina
Main Event- (C) Young Bucks vs Moxley & Kingston (street
fight)
Best Friends vs Good Brothers
Brock Anderson vs QT Marshall
FTR vs Santana & Ortiz
Matt Hardy vs Christian Cage
AEW entering horseman territory is possibly the most interesting
location they have on their upcoming schedule. Matt Hardy, FTR, and Brock
Anderson are all from North Carolina and would obviously want to have big
matches in front of their home crowds. The great part is they all have big
matches in the works, and this would be a terrific place for them to take
place. Best Friends and Good Brothers would be a good continuation of the Orange
Cassidy vs Omega feud, perhaps The Good Brothers can get involved in the title
match the week prior only to be stopped by the Best Friends. And the Young Bucks
vs Moxley and Kingston feud is hopefully far from over and a massive street
fight to end this four week stretch of ppv worthy programming would be a
thrilling way to end it.
